Humandala
Humandala is the auditory outlet of lifelong musician Christopher Simmens. As a young man, Christopher earned his chops playing bass guitar in a broad range of conventional music acts. Today, he draws on these rich music traditions to mangle and contort bass in more unconventional ways. Humandala’s sound consists of glitched-out textures, vast cinematic soundbeds, formant rich synthesis, and twisted bass lines. All while maintaining a strong foundation in memorable melody and emotive chord progression. Striving to find a balance of music equal parts for the head and for the heart, Humandala weaves a sonic tapestry stitched from many facets of the human experience.
Humandala broke on to the national scene in 2022 with his debut performance at Tipper and Friends. Since then he has gone on to play notable festivals such as Resonate, Submersion, Infrasound, Resonance and more. He has also gone on to play shows across the country providing direct support for staples in the scene such as Alejo, Drrtywulvs, Symbolico, Bogg Dogg, Papadosio, Keota and many more.
With a plethora of impressive releases and full length albums on the horizon, Humandala continues to make his mark as a standout producer in left field bass culture.
